The bright spiral galaxy M90, and its dwarf companion, as seen in the "Big Picture". The blue color is due to the ongoing star formation in these galaxies, but the central regions of M90 appears yellow, as it is populated by the older stars. Spiral arms and patches of interstellar dust are also visible in the disk of M90. Our own Galaxy, the Milky Way, would probably look very similar if viewed from M90.
